Montel Williams Facial Peel?!
Tonight, I had the TV on while I wrote a paper. I wasn’t paying much attention to the TV, but when I heard a commercial for Montel’s Living Well Facial Peel the TV suddenly had my attention. Apparently, Montel Williams has a skin care line and his specialty is a facial peel.
I am confused as to why a talk show host would have a skin care product. Is this just a PR stunt? Is this a product that needed a celebrity name? Or is this something he really wanted to create?
I’m not sure, but something just doesn’t add up. I would understand if Rikki Lake had a diet supplement because she is known for having lost a large amount of weight. Montel, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to have better skin than any other talk show host I’ve seen.
I’m deeply perturbed by this and I wish the commercial would have explained why he has this skin care line.
If this is a PR stunt, is it a smart idea? Is he just trying to appeal to his potential audience?
That is pretty funny. That would have caught my attention also. I kinda hope its a PR stunt. I do not see why a male talk show host would want to have a face peel. I guess everyone needs a little extra cash now and then and maybe it is just his time.
I’m not sure about his either. If I had to guess I’d say it’s just a way to get his name out there. Because other then this I haven’t heard about him in a very long time.
I finally seen this ad over the weekend. I too am not quite sure why he has a facial peel. I know he is on television a lot but does that qualify him to be a spokesperson for this product. The entire care line is under him name which means that he made the line. Again I don’t know why he would do this but, he is in a business that is making money. I wonder if it is good stuff?
I actually work in this industry and always watch out for new products. I happen to see a skin care video on You Tube about this. I too was alittle confused, but after doing some looking found that Montel is very much into health. He has a whole line of multiple health related products. The skin care is new, but from researching even more he is even doing a skin care kit for the troops – called mobile aids for skin health (I know he served and does alot for the military, but thats cool). I actually bought the facial peel in a 4 step kit online and the facial peel is like nothing I have seen in the industry. I know some celebrities do alot of things for PR, but i seriously think that hes just into healthy living and trying to use what public exposure he has to get his message out. He even has a shave system I will try next for my legs – suppose to get a closer cleaner shave. Well we will see. I will use his products in the future and hope the line makes it. If not it would be nice to have the number to the lab that made that peel!!!
